I am excited to share that I am involved in an art auction on Instagram at @111minnagallery that will directly benefit artists who were affected by the LA Fires. As I’m sure you all know, many people have lost everything. LA has more artists than any other city on the planet, which is an incredible claim in it of itself, and since the art community knows no borders, we are helping out our fellow creators.
The thing is though, fire tragedy hits close to home. Any of us in the Bay Area may be next as climate change breeds worse and worse climate catastrophes. It was only a few months ago the opposite side of the country faced the opposite elemental disaster, floodwaters washing away entire town and parts of cities. Too much water one place, too little in another.
There are some incredible pieces being auctioned off. My piece, Midnight Mushroom, goes live tomorrow, Sunday morning at 11am PST and will only be available to bid on for 24 hours. The bid price starts at $100.
This auction is going for 6 days with 10 artists per day. Check out their IG page daily to see what is up for auction.
The organization that we are all donating to is Grief X Hope. Their GoFundMe can be found HERE so you can read more on how they are distributing the funds they are raising. They are a collective of LA gallery owners, curators, art activists, and artists and have come together to offer funding to anyone who is in need.
Here is a list of all of the artists participating.
Once again, my piece goes live Sunday morning at 11am PST and will only be available to bid on for 24 hours so if you want this little guy, hop on to 111 Minna Gallery’s Instagram and place your bid!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
xoxo
